With the arrival of Jarana, we have reached a very special milestone: 40 foals —our “Marchadorcitos”— born within this rewilding project.

Each birth is not just a number. It is the continuation of a story that weaves together landscape, genetics, behavior, and a gradual return to freedom. It also reflects a process in which the horses do not only inhabit the place, but actively co-create it.

These 40 births mark an important stage in the journey we are taking with Marchadores del Uruguay within Las Nativas: a process of integration where breeding, observation, and herd life shape a new way of relating to horses and to the land.

Jarana opens this new chapter with the same quiet strength that characterizes the herd.
