“Mi Marchador”

An initiative for Women with horses in Sierras del Edén

Nature designed women to raise offsprings and with a strong instinct to take care of their “herd”. We, women, thrive and become stronger when living as a family or in a community. The feeling of being connected with loved ones and nature allow us to feel cared, included and valued. We are also guided by a deep drive to feed, protect and organize the herd for survival. In the face of dangers, we become stronger to repeal threats and avoid damage to our herd.

Horses, in particular, mares have very similar experiences. This is why both women and horses (mares) understand what it means to breed, raise, be vulnerable, protect, and share. This is also why we feel a great connection with these special beings, the horses.

¨My Marchador¨ Program is designed to nurture the bonding of women and horses.  It provides a gathering space among ¨peers¨ who seek joy, well-being and calm from the coexistence and connection with horses and nature.

The initiative is aimed at women who wish to live the experience of a close relationship with horses (of the Mangalarga Marchador breed) in the natural and wild environment offered by the Sierras del Eden. The program is unique in its nature since the Marchadores breed, in addition to an extremely comfortable gait and unique docility, tend to develop strong connections with people. The beauty of the mountains of Eden criss-crossed by pristine streams and forests of native species offer an environment of great peace and harmony for the activity.
