Without any use of hormones, Groselha managed a multiple ovulation, very rare in mares.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, she was inseminated through natural breeding with Atrevido and then the embryo transfer was carried out to two recipient mares.

By using this assisted reproduction technique, it is possible that these embryos can allow the birth of two live foals. This situation in natural conditions, being simultaneously gestated by their original mother, would run a high risk of being aborted or that one or all of them die during gestation or childbirth.  Then we hope  for two ¨Groselhiñas¨ for 2022.
