With the excellent work of  Equus Reproductive Center, the first embryo of Atrevido and Geada from Porto Palmeira was born on October 22, 2021 in Marchadores del Uruguay. The embryo transfer technique is a reproductive biotechnological procedure by which one or more embryos are collected from a donor mare inseminated or served by natural mare, 6 to 10 days post-ovulation, and transferred non-surgically to the uterus of a recipient mare.

The advancement of biotechnology made it possible to wait for Geada’s first natural pregnancy at four and a half years, and thus take care of her reproductive health.
